Semia Uppuma


Ingredients:
  1. Rosted Semiya (available in packets) 1 cup
  2. water 2 cups
  3. Onion big 1 - thinly sliced
  4. Tomato 2  - diced
  5. Green chillies - cut into vertical pieces
  6. Carrot 1 - small slivers
  7. Frozen or Fresh green peas  1/2 cup
Preparation:
  1. In a pan fry the semia using a spoon of ghee or cooking oil.
  2. Add 2 cups of water and let it boil for 10 minutes.
  3. Using a strainer darin the water and keep aside.
  4. Fry the onions and the vegetables till the vegetables are cooked.
  5. Add salt and green chillies.
  6. Add the cooked semia and mix thoroughly.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Method 2 ( easy method)
  1. Using a teaspoon of oil fry the onion and the vegetables.
  2. Add 2 cups of water, salt and vermicelli (1 cup) direct from the packet.
  3. Keep stirring to prevent it to sticking to the pan.
  4. It should be cooked in 10 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with sauce, or spicy chutneys.
