Tomato Chutney-Plain

தக்காளி சட்னி

  1. Tomatoes - big 6
  2. Green chillies 4 to 5
  3. Hing a pinch
  4. Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
  5. Oil - 4 teaspoons
  6. Salt to taste
  1. Grind tomatoes, chillies and hing together to a smooth paste.
  2. In a pan add the oil and add the mustard seeds. After the mustard splutters add the ground paste.
  3. Boil for 5 minutes till the raw flavor of the tomato disappears. 
  4. Remove from flame once it starts to thicken.
Goes well with Dosas and idlis.
