Panagam (பானகம்)

  1. Jaggery  50 gms (1 and 1/2 table spoons) ( powdered)
  2. Drinking Water 2 glasses (400 ml)
  3. Dry ginger ( Chukku சுக்கு  )
  4. Cardamon powder
  1. Dissolve the jaggery in the water add the rest of the ingredients and stir well. 
  2. Filter to remove undissolved jaggery particles
  3. Add a few drops of lemon juice.
This is a traditional recipe which is offered during festivals and poojas especially during Rama Navami. This is also a very healthy rejuvinating drink that is good for digestion.
