Panagam (பானகம்)
Ingredients
- Jaggery 50 gms (1 and 1/2 table spoons) ( powdered)
- Drinking Water 2 glasses (400 ml)
- Dry ginger ( Chukku சுக்கு )
- Cardamon powder
Preparation
- Dissolve the jaggery in the water add the rest of the ingredients and stir well.
- Filter to remove undissolved jaggery particles
- Add a few drops of lemon juice.
This is a traditional recipe which is offered during festivals and poojas especially during Rama Navami. This is also a very healthy rejuvinating drink that is good for digestion.
