Ammini Kozhukkattai

அம்மிணி கொழுக்கட்டை

  1. Raw rice flour 1 cup
  2. Water 1 and 3/4 cups
  3. Chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  4. Hing
  5. Salt
  6. Curry leaves
  7. Coconut oil ( for enhanced flavour and aroma) or oil a teaspoon

  1. In a large pan,boil the water and slowly add the flour while stirring.
  2. Keep turning till it rolls into a dough.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add chilli powder, hing and salt and mix thoroughly by kneading the dough.
  5. Grease your palms and make small marble like rolls onto a paper towel or a big plate.
  6. Place the rolled balls in a idly cooker and steam it for ten minutes.
  7. In a kadai add a spoon of oil and add the mustard seeds. once the mustard seeds splutters pour in the cooked 'kozhukattai' balls and mix thoroughly with the mustard seasoning.
