Ingredients:

( It does not matter if you do not have one or two of the below vegetables)
  1. Ash gourd (white pumpkin) - 200 gms (one piece)
  2. Pumpkin - (Parangikai) - 200 gms (one piece)
  3. Drumstick - 2
  4. Flat beans (avaraikai) - 200 gms
  5. Beans - a few
  6. Chow Chow - 1
  7. Raw banana - 1 no
  8. Brinjal(Eggplant) - 2 to 3 nos
  9. Raw Mangoe (optional) - 1
  10. Carrots - 2
  11. Potatoes - 2
  12. Snakegourd (Pudalngai) - 1/2
  13. Elephant Yam -Senai - 1 piece
  14. Green chillies - 4 to 5
  15. Grated coconut 1 cup
  16. Jeera - 1 teaspoon
  17. Raw rice - 1/2 teaspoon
  18. Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons (1/2 cup)
  19. Curd - 1 to 1 and 1/2 cups
  20. Curry Leaves a few
  21. Salt to taste

Pre-preparation:

  1. Wash the vegetables and cut them into even ,thin pieces. ( not very thin , otherwise they may lose their shape and dissolve)
  2. Grind the coconut,green chillies,jeera, rice and add the ground paste to one cup of curd and keep aside.

Preparation:

  1. Put the chopped vegetables in a kadai with closed lid. Add just enough water to submerge the vegetable pieces and let this cook with the lid closed.
  2. Keep checking if they are done.
  3. If they are cooked and you find excess water, you can drain the excess water.
  4. Add this ground paste to the boiled vegetables.
  5. Mix thoroughly and add the rest of the curd.
  6. Add the coconut oil and curry leaves.
  7. Serve hot.
